Paul Coffey

The highest scoring defenseman in the history of the NHL has also enjoyed great success as the international level as Paul Coffey helped Canada win the Canada Cup in 1984, 1987 and 1991. Coffey was named to the All-Star Team at the 1984 event after finishing tied for second in tournament scoring with 11 points (three goals and eight assists), just one point behind Wayne Gretzky.

In addition to his three Canada Cup appearances, Coffey was a member of Team Canada at the World Cup of Hockey in 1996, collecting seven assists in eight games despite Canada's loss to the United States in the finals. Coffey also represented Canada at the World Championships in 1990.
