The only married member of the gold medal-winning United States National Women's Team at the Nagano Olympics in 1998, Lisa Miller-Brown was married in August of 1995 and left the next day for the National Team training camp. In 1996, she gave up her job as head coach of the women's team at Princeton University in order to train full time for the National Team.
Brown is considered one of the American team's strongest players and is a determined forechecker who anchored the team's penalty-killing unit. In addition to her Olympic experience, she played with the U.S. team that finished second behind Canada at the Women's World Championships in 1990, 1992, 1994 and 1997. She also took part at the Pacific Rim Championship in 1995. |
