Paul Coppo led the United States National Team in scoring with nine goals and 16 points when the Americans earned a bronze medal at the 1962 World Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Soviet Union boycotted the event that year after American officials refused to grant entry visas to the East German squad.
Coppo was a member of the U.S. team at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, collecting seven points in seven games that year. He later represented his country again at the World Championships again in 1965 and 1969. |
