Roger Christian

The older brother of Bill Christian, Roger Christian also had a lengthy career with the Warroad Lakers and representing the United States in international hockey. Both he and Bill and brother Gordon played with the 1958 U.S. National Team that was the first American club ever to play in the Soviet Union and both were members of the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic Team in Squaw Valley, California in 1960. The Christians earned silver medals with the United States team at the 1962 World Championships and were also members of the U.S. National Team in 1964 and 1965.

Roger Christian started playing high school hockey in Warroad, Minnesota in 1950, led the team in scoring in 1952, and helped the team reach the finals of the state tournament in 1953. He later played 18 years with the Warroad Lakers, who retired his uniform number 7 in 1974.
