A brother of the more famous Bill and Roger Christian, Gordon Christian preceded the two onto the United States National Team, first representing his country at the World Championships in 1955. He collected five goals in six games for the American team that earned a silver medal behind the Soviet Union at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. In 1958, Gordon Christian and his brothers were members of the U.S. National Team that became the first American sports team ever to play in the Soviet Union. |
