Joe Sacco

Joe Sacco was a member of the United States team at the World Junior Championships in 1989 while playing hockey at Boston University. He represented the United States at the World Championships while still playing with BU in 1990 and played at the tournament again in 1991after having made his NHLdebut with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Sacco joined the U.S. National Team in 1991-92 and played at both the 1992 Albertville Olympics and the1992 World Championships. Sacco was playing in the NHL with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim when he represented the United States again at the World Championships in 1994 and 1996. He won a bronze at the 1996 tournament as the U.S. earned its first World Championship medal since a third-place finish in 1962.
