Mike Ramsey

The youngest player on the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" team, Mike Ramsey was only 18 years old when he joined the United States National Team in 1979-80. He joined the Buffalo Sabres after the gold medal victory at Lake Placid and went on to play 18 years in the NHL with Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Detroit. In 1997-98, Ramsey became an assistant coach with the Sabres.

In addition to his Olympic experience, Ramsey represented the United States at the World Championships in 1982. He also played for the American squad at the Canada Cup tournament in 1984 and 1987.
