Neal Broten

Neal Broten was a member of the "Miracle on Ice" U.S. Olympic hockey team that won the gold medal in Lake Placid in 1980, collecting a goal and six assists in eight games. He went on to become the highest scoring American-born player in the history of the NHL until being surpassed by Joe Mullen. Broten added a Stanley Cup victory to his Olympic gold medal as a member of the New Jersey Devils in 1994-95.

In addition to his Olympic experience, Broten represented the United States at the Canada Cup tournament in 1981 and 1984, playing with brother Aaron at the 1984 event. He made is final international appearance with the U.S. team at the World Championships in 1990.
