Bill Guerin is a strong, physical player with a hard shot who is always a threat to score. Guerin scored four goals to help Team U.S.A. earn a silver medal at the 2002 Olympics, and was also a member of the 1998 Olympic team. He was a grinding force in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey and added two assists to the championship run. Guerin returned to the World Cup of Hockey as a veteran leader in 2004. Guerin also represented his country twice at the World Junior Championship, playing on the fifth place team in 1988-89 and the seventh place team in 1989-90.
Guerin is known as a proto-typical power forward in the NHL and has had strong seasons playing with the New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars. He won the Stanley Cup in 1995 as a member of the Devils and was selected to the NHL Second All-Star team in 2002 after scoring 41 goals with the Boston Bruins. |
