Vlastimil Bubnik

Born in 1931, Vlastimil Bubnik was a star forward for Czechoslovakia. He represented ZKL Brno and Kralovo Pole in the Czechoslovakian national league, scoring 300 goals in 16 seasons. He also participated at the Olympic Winter Games in 1952 in Oslo, 1956 in Cortina, 1960 in Squaw Valley, and 1964 in Innsbruck, where his team won bronze. Altogether he represented his native Czechoslovakia in 121 games scoring 127 goals. At the IIHF World Championships, Vlastimil Bubnik won one silver in 1961 and three bronze medals in 1955, 1963 and 1964. An exceptionally talented athlete, he also played soccer at the national team level. He was inducted to players' category in 1997. Star Player Photo
