Lars Bjorn

Lars Björn was born on December 16, 1931. He played in 217 national team games and participated at nine IIHF World Championship tournaments winning gold in 1953 and 1957 and three bronze medals. Björn was named Best Defenceman at the World and European Championship in 1954. He appeared in three Olympic Winter Games and earned a silver medal in 1952.
