After retiring he coached different Austrian clubs: WAT Stadlau (1972 to 1974 and 1981 to 1985), HC Salzburg (1976 to 78), Wiener EV (1978 to 1981 and 1988-89), EHC Lustenau (1985-86), UEC Modling (1986 to 1988), EC Graz (1989 to 1992).
