Karen Nystrom

A speedy right winger with a hard, accurate shot, Karen Nystrom was a member of Canada's Women's World Championship teams in 1992, 1994 and 1997. She also played for the Canadian team that had to settle for a silver medal behind the United States at the Nagano Olympics in 1998. She was the top scorer in the Central Ontario Hockey League for three seasons.

An excellent soccer player in addition to her hockey skills, Nystrom was a high school MVP in both sports from grade 9 through grade 13. She is also a five-time Ontario Cup winner in soccer.
