Along with the rest of Team Canada, Campbell has struck gold at every Women's World Championship. She has won gold at the 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004 tournaments. Canada's top-scoring defenseman at the 1997 Women's World Championship, Cassie Campbell had two goals and six assists for the gold medal winners and was named to the tournament All-Star Team. Campbell had a goal and two assists at the 1998 Nagano Olympics when Canada settled for a silver medal behind the United States. She returned to the Olympics in 2002 with Team Canada and won the gold medal, defeating the defending champions from Team USA. Campbell was the Sportswoman of the Year at Guelph University in 1996. |
