Dick Warwick

The youngest of the three Warwick brothers but the first to arrive in Penticton, Dick Warwick joined the Vees when the team was formed in 1951-52. He was joined by brothers Bill and Grant the following year and the three helped the team win the Allan Cup in 1953-54. As defending Allan Cup champions, Penticton was selected to represent Canada at the 1955 World Championships.

A prolific scorer and slick playmaker, Dick Warwick contributed six goals to the Penticton cause as the Vees claimed the world title with a perfect record of 8-0, including a 5-0 win over the Soviets to clinch the championship in the final game. The win was sweet revenge for Canada, who had seen the Soviets claim the World Championship for the first time in 1954.
