Morris Mott

Morris Mott joined the Canadian National Team in 1965-66 and helped the team win a bronze medal at the World Championships in both 1966 and 1967. At the Winter Olympics in Grenoble in 1968, Mott led the team with five goals in seven games as Canada earned another bronze medal. Four of Mott's goals came in an 11-0 win over East Germany that got the Canadians back on track after a 5-2 upset loss to Finland. Mott also represented Canada at the 1969 World Championships and was a member of the National Team until the program was dismantled in 1970.

Following his stint with the Nats, Mott played hockey at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He later spent three seasons in the NHL with the California Golden Seals and played two games with the Winnipeg Jets of the World Hockey Association in 1975-76. He spent most of that year playing hockey in Sweden. After his playing career, Mott became a history professor at Brandon University in Manitoba.
