Larry Robinson

A star defenseman who helped the Montreal Canadiens win the Stanley Cup six times and won the Norris Trophy twice as the NHL's best defenseman, Larry Robinson often found himself in more of a supporting role in international hockey and he played the part well. Robinson suited up for three Canada Cup tournaments, helping Canada win the inaugural event in 1976, and later helping to avenge 1981's loss to the Soviet Union with victory again in 1984. Robinson also represented Canada at the 1981 World Championships, where he was named both an All-Star and the tournament's Best Defenseman despite Canada's fourth-place finish.
