Brian Bellows

Brian Bellows first represented Canada when he played at the Canada Cup in 1984. He later played for his country at the World Championships in 1987, 1989 and 1990. He helped lead Canada to a silver medal at the 1989 event when he was named the Best Forward at the tournament after scoring eight goals and setting up six others for 14 points in 10 games.

Bellows had played 15 seasons in the NHL with the Minnesota North Stars, Montreal Canadiens (Stanley Cup champions in 1992-93), Tampa Bay Lightning and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim before signing to play in Germany in 1997-98. After completing the season with the Berlin Capitals, he returned to the NHL late in the season as a member of the Washington Capitals.
