| Hongmei Liu had two goals and three assists in five games to rank in a tie for top spot in scoring on the Chinese team at the Nagano Olympics in 1998. China finished fourth at that tournament behind the United States, Canada and China.
Liu first appeared on the international arena at the Women's World Championships in 1992 and had eight goals and three assists to lead China to a fourth-place finish at the world tourney in 1994. China again finished fourth in 1997. Liu was a member of the Chinese team that earned a bronze medal behind the United States and Canada at the Pacific Rim Championship in 1995. |
