Yoshiaki Tsutsumi


Born in May, 1934. Yoshiaki Tsutsumi is the current President of the Japan Ice Hockey Federation, (as of Fall, 2000.) As the former President of the Japan Olympic Committee, he is now an Honorary President. Other prestigious titles include, Japan Ski Federation President as well as Director of Japan Amateur Sports Association. Tsutsumi was also involved in the 1992 Olympic Winter Games in Albertville as Chef de Mission. The Olympic Order Award was bestowed upon him in 1991. Yoshiaki Tsutsumi has played a key role of developing the game of ice hockey in Japan, not only for the Japanese National Team programs but he has also played an integral part in the development of the Japanese National Hockey League.
