    • Contest winners who have not yet reached the age of 18 years or the age of majority in their province or state of residence must have a parent/legal guardian sign the "RWDF" to confirm compliance and consent with all Contest Rules and to accept Prizes on behalf of a minor.

    • Subject to Sections 8(m) and 8(n) below, Contest winners will receive notice with the standard “RWDF” (provided in digital PDF format) within 7 business days following (i) the end of the 2002-03 Game Time Season on June 18, 2003, or (ii) each computer generated monthly random draw (held on the 1st day of December, January, February, March, April, May and June during the 2002-03 Game Time Season), or (iii) the computer generated random draw held on June 18, 2003, or (iv) the successful answer to a computer generated random question on the 10th GT play, as the case may be, by e-mail at the e-mail address provided by the entrant during the Contest entry process. • With respect to Hockey Hall of Fame Marketplace E-gift Certificates, Contest winners will receive notice with the standard “RWDF” (provided in digital PDF format) within 7 business days following the end of the 2002-03 Game Time Season on June 18, 2003, by e-mail at the e-mail address provided by the participant during the Contest entry process. The Hockey Hall of Fame, its sponsors and affiliates and their respective advertising and promotional agencies are not responsible, whether as a result of human error or otherwise, for any failure to contact any Contest winner, and if the Contest winner cannot be reached or a signed “RWDF” is not received by August 31, 2003, that Contest winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize in question. The GTC average rankings and the names of the Contest winners will be posted on the “GAME TIME” content section of http://legendsofhockey.net throughout the 2002-03 Season and will be removed on September 1, 2003.

  9. Each GTC is comprised of questions randomly selected from a computerized questions database. The system tracks users and ensures their questions are never duplicated. The database contains enough questions to dynamically generate 600 games. Except as noted below, winning a Prize is dependent upon the combination of hockey knowledge, frequency of play and the total number of eligible participants in the Contest. In the case of the computer generated random selections described in Section 7(b), 7(c) and 7(d) chances of winning depend on the number of entrants who have participated in a minimum ten (10) GTC plays. In order to win the Prizes specified in Section 7(d), the selected participant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited arithmetical question to be administered by telephone at a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time.

  10. The Hockey Hall of Fame accepts no responsibility for inaccurate information that has been provided by the participants of the Contest or otherwise. All entries shall become the sole property of Hockey Hall of Fame.

  11. The Hockey Hall of Fame, its sponsors and affiliates and their respective advertising and promotional agencies are not responsible for any discrepancies or errors caused by the Game Time Scoring System.

  12. Contest entries will be processed on a secure industry standard SSL-enabled server as outlined in the “Security” section below. The Hockey Hall of Fame assumes no responsibility for tampering, theft, defects, viruses, human errors (including gross negligence), deletions, technical or telephone problems, undeliverable messages, computer errors, lost, misdirected, late or incomplete entries or for any on-line difficulties that may result in damage or malfunction to the computer server or the failure of Hockey Hall of Fame to process any entry and otherwise award any of the Prizes.

  13. By entering the Contest, you agree that (i) your name can be used, without compensation, for the purpose of displaying the Game Time Average rankings and publicizing the winners of the Prizes, and (ii) the Hockey Hall of Fame may communicate to you information on relevant products or services from time to time by e-mail. You may prevent any further communication from the Hockey Hall of Fame by using the "change your account information" link displayed within the Game Time Log-In screen accessible via the “GAME TIME” section of http://legendsofhockey.net.

  15. By entering the Contest, you agree to be bound by all of the official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Hockey Hall of Fame, which are final on all matters relating to the Contest. The Hockey Hall of Fame, in its sole discretion, may disqualify any individual who is found to have tampered in any way with the operation of the Contest.

  16. The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.

    SECURITY

The Contest is "Powered by the Hockey Hall of Fame Legends Web Server" located and secured on its premises at BCE Place, Toronto. To maximize security for our visitors, http://www.hhof.com/ and http://www.legendsofhockey.net/ support versions of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) browsers that use 128-bit encryption. Both sites have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We employ a VeriSign Class 3 Digital ID authenticated by the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce recognized by IE 5.01, Netscape Communicator 4.7 and later browsers. Older browsers will still create a secure SSL connection at 40, 56 or 128 bits depending on the precise browser version. Entrants with older browsers (non-SSL-enabled) or operating from behind corporate firewalls may not be able to establish a secure session with our server and will therefore have to upgrade their browser or use an SSL-enabled browser that is not behind a firewall

Encryption is a means of scrambling information for transmission, in this case, between your PC and our web site. Information that is encrypted (scrambled) at one end is decrypted (descrambled) upon receipt at the other end. 128-bit encryption is the strongest, most secure form of encryption that is generally available in Internet browsers today. 40-bit encryption is the basic minimum standard that is prevalent in most browser products. Your browser probably uses 40-bit encryption unless you have specifically obtained 128-bit encryption.

    CHILDREN’S GUIDELINES

The Hockey Hall of Fame encourages children to consult with their parents before furnishing data. We believe that parents should supervise their children’s online activities and consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers that help provide a kid-friendly online environment. These tools can also prevent children from disclosing online their name, address and other personal information without parental permission. In general, we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 via http://www.hhof.com/ and http://www.legendsofhockey.net/. Upon registration in the Contest, notification is provided instructing children under 13 to seek permission from their parents or legal guardian before entering any personal information
