After eight full NHL seasons, netminder GLENN HALL finally captured his first VEZINA TROPHY as the NHL's top netminder. Playing in 66 of the Black Hawks' 70 games, HALL led Chicago to a second place finish and club-record 32 wins and 81 points with a league-low 166 goals against. The First Team All-Star had a record of 30-20-15 with a 2.55 goals-against average and a league-leading five shutouts. Toronto's Johnny Bower and Don Simmons were the trophy's runners-up.
