CECIL "TINY" THOMPSON captured his fourth VEZINA TROPHY following the 1937-38 NHL season, bettering the record of three set by George Hainsworth of the Montreal Canadiens. THOMPSON, who was also named a First Team All-Star, played in all 48 games for the Bruins leading them to a first overall finish in the regular season. He recorded seven shutouts and led the league in both wins (30) and goals-against average (1.80). Dave Kerr of the Rangers placed second in the VEZINA derby.
