During 1977-78, BOB MacMILLAN was traded to the Atlanta Flames, and in 1978-79, he enjoyed the best season of his career. MacMILLAN scored 37 goals and 71 assists for 108 points. That total placed MacMILLAN in fifth place in regular season scoring, one spot higher than linemate Guy Chouinard. BOB also served just 14 minutes in penalties. The Professional Hockey Writers' Association selected MacMILLAN as their LADY BYNG TROPHY winner for 1978-79, with the Kings' Marcel Dionne as the runner-up.
