As part of the famed Pony Line with Max and Doug Bentley, BILL MOSIENKO enjoyed a solid 1944-45 season, collecting 54 points on 28 goals and 26 assists to finish sixth in the scoring race. And he accomplished this feat without serving a single minute in the penalty box! No shrinking violet, MOSIENKO hit and was hit, but did so in a gentlemanly manner, so it was no real surprise when he was named the LADY BYNG TROPHY winner. Syd Howe of Detroit came in second. MOSIENKO was also named that year to the NHL's Second All-Star Team.
