Moreau, Ethan
Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton captain Ethan Moreau becomes the second Oilers player, joining Kevin Lowe (1990), to earn the King Clancy Trophy. The heart-and-soul of the Oilers hockey club, one of Moreau's main focuses off the ice has been to take a lead role in the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation and in particular the Inner City High School project. Personally volunteering to be the spokesperson for the initiative, Moreau is helping to raise funds for the daunting task of building a new facility that will accommodate 150 students, more than a 125% increase over the current building, thus allowing troubled youth a top quality educational environment and residence. He has also led the charge in the dressing room for the 'Caps for Cancer' and 'For Puck Surprise' programs, which raised more than $300,000 combined for local charities. Moreau's commitment to his community also includes work with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Canadian Cancer Foundation and the United Way, along with regular visits to the Youth Emergency Shelter and Stollery Children's Hospital.
