1997-98
Kelly Chase of the St. Louis Blues was the recipient of the King Clancy Trophy in acknowledgement of his community involvement and leadership both on and off the ice. The rugged right-winger provided a physical presence and an exemplary effort in 67 contests. Chase was involved extensively with the Gateway Project, which provided athletic opportunities for mentally challenged children.
