1996-97
Trevor Linden was a well-known leader both on and off the ice for the Vancouver Canucks, serving as team captain and involving himself in numerous community causes, particularly children's charities. Linden ran the "Captain's Crew" program, which allowed underprivileged kids to be his guest in a private suite during Canucks games. He also took time to be a spokesperson and regular visitor for numerous causes, including Canuck Place, Ronald McDonald House, the Youth Against Violence Program, the Canadian Cancer Society and B.C. Children's Hospitals.
