1988-89
Without question, Bryan Trottier will go down as one of the most talented New York Islander ever. Perhaps a more enduring legacy however, will be his off-ice work with numerous charities around the Long Island area. Trottier worked extensively with the Special Olympics, the Easter Seals Society, Foster Grandparents, the Long Island "Just Say No to Drugs" program, Big Brothers/Sisters and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to name a few. He also assisted on the sports side with Athletes Helping Athletes, promoting reading across the U.S.
