BRYAN MURRAY was the first Capitals coach to win the JACK ADAMS AWARD. Washington had finished the previous season with a strong 94 points. MURRAY helped to improve the Capitals record and at the conclusion of the 1983-84 regular season Washington finished with 101 points.
