Born on January 14, 1904, ALBERT 'BABE' SIEBERT was in the twilight of his NHL career by 1936. After a stint with Boston, SIEBERT joined the Montreal Canadiens for the 1936-37 season. The savvy veteran scored eight goals and 20 assists for 28 points and helped the Canadiens to a first place finish in the Canadian Division. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to Montreal's season, BABE was named to the First All-Star Team and was selected as the HART TROPHY winner. Lionel Conacher, the Maroons' excellent defenseman, was runner-up in HART voting.
