Scott Niedermayer concluded a remarkable season for the Anaheim Ducks by capturing the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP. Niedermayer became the second Anaheim Duck in four years to win the award after Ducks' netminder J.S. Giguere won the award in 2003. In 21 playoff games, Niedermayer averaged just less than 30 minutes per game while quarterbacking the power play and penalty kill. He added 11 points including a pair of game-winning-goals.
