1976-77

A big, tough right winger, WILLI PLETT was born in Paraguay, but played his junior hockey in Ontario. PLETT was drafted by the Atlanta Flames in the fourth round, and enjoyed a four game try-out in 1975-76. In 1976-77, PLETT made the Flames club. He scored 33 goals and 23 assists for a 56-point season, and was named the CALDER TROPHY winner, while Don Murdoch of New York's Rangers came in second.
