Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Mike Zalewski
Michael Zalewski was born on August 18, 1992 in New Hartford, New York. The undrafted left winger would play his junior in the Eastern Junior Hockey League and the British Columbia Hockey League before continuing his hockey career with the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers of the NCAA.

Zalewski would play two seasons with the Engineers before he would sign an entry level contract with the Vancouver Canucks. He would make his NHL debut on April 12, 2014 in a 5-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers. The next year he would spend his entire 2014-2015 season with the Canucks’ AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets.

Upon becoming a free agent, the Canucks elected not to re-sign him to an NHL contract, however the Comets would sign him to a one year deal in the AHL.
