Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- MacGregor Sharp
MacGregor Sharp was born on October 1, 1985, in Red Deer, Alberta. A product of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, he was undrafted and signed a free agent with the Anaheim Ducks in March of 2009.

Sharp made his professional debut for the Bakersfield Condors of the East Coast Hockey League during the 2009-10 season and when he later appeared in eight games for the Anaheim Ducks, he became the first player to jump directly from the ECHL to the NHL in the same year without first making a stop in the AHL.

On February 28, 2011, the NHL trade deadline, Sharp was traded to the Vancouver Canucks along with Maxime Lapierre in exchange for Joel Perreault and a third round draft pick.
