Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Landon Ferraro
Landon Ferraro was born on August 8, 1991, in Trail, British Columbia. A product of the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League, Ferraro was selected in the second round, 32nd overall, by the Detroit Red Wings at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

After three plus seasons with the Rebels, Ferraro was traded to the Everett Silvertips prior to the 2010-11 season and was soon after named team captain. His lone season with Everett would be a struggle however. Injuries limited Ferraro to just 41 games in which he produced 10 goals and 17 assists.

Ferraro would make his professional debut at the American Hockey League level with the Red Wings' affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins. In his first full professional season he would record nine goals and 11 assists in 56 games for the club. He bettered those totals the following year with 24 goals and 23 assists.

Ferraro would get his first taste of NHL action during the 2013-14 season, making his debut for the Red Wings on March 18, 2014 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 2014-15 season was spent predominantly at the AHL level with the Griffins. In 70 games Ferraro registered an impressive 27 goals. Ferraro also managed to appear in three NHL games for the Red Wings, scoring his first NHL goal on April 11, 2015 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

On November 22, 2015, Ferraro was put on waivers by the Red Wings where he was claimed by the Boston Bruins. He would go on to appear in 58 games for the Bruins, scoring five times and adding five assists.

In the summer of 2016, Ferraro signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues and spent the 2016-17 season with the club's AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. The following summer, once again a free agent, Ferraro signed with the Minnesota Wild.
