Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Zac Dalpe
Zac Dalpe was born on November 1, 1989 in Paris, Ontario. A star in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association, Dalpe went undrafted in the 2005 OHL Priority Selection. Listed at only 5'5" and 115 lbs, many scouts questioned the skilled centre's size.

Dalpe spent a season playing for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL in 2007-088 before accepting a scholarship at Ohio State University. After two seasons with Ohio State he inked a deal with the Carolina Hurricanes and would join the club's AHL affiliate in Albany for the remaining part of the 2009-10 regular season and playoffs.

Over the next two seasons, Dalpe would split time between the NHL and AHL, appearing in 31 games for the Hurricanes, scoring four goals and adding three assists.
