Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Colin Wilson
Colin Wilson was born on October 20, 1989 in Greenwich, Connecticut. The seventh overall selection by the Nashville Predators at the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Wilson is a third generation NHLer. Both his father and grandfather spent time in the league.

2009 would be a special year for Wilson. He helped team USA earn a gold medal at the World Junior Championship and also joined the American team at the World Championship held in Switzerland.

Wilson made his NHL debut on April 17, 2009, appearing in 35 games for the Predators while splitting time with the club's AHL affiliate.

In 2014-15, Wilson would establish new career-highs in goals and points. In 77 games for the Predators, he found the back of the net 20 times and added 22 assists for 42 points.

Wilson would fail to match his previous year's offensive output in 2015-16 or 2016-17 and in the summer of 2017 his time the Nashville organization would come to an end. He was traded to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a fourth round draft pick.
