Chris Durno was born on October 31, 1980. Undrafted, Durno spent four years playing collegiate hockey with Michigan Tech.

Before making his NHL debut in 2008 with the Colorado Avalanche, Durno's professional career had seen stops in the ECHL, the AHL with Milwaukee, Norfolk, Portland and San Antonio.

Durno scored his first NHL goal on December 26, 2009 against the Dallas Stars.
