Mark Mancari was born July 11, 1985 in London, Ontario. Drafted by the Buffalo Sabers seventh round, 207th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Mancari spent four seasons with the OHL's Ottawa 67's.

Over four seasons with the Ottawa 67's, Mancari's best season with the club came in 2004-05 when he tallied 36 goals and 32 assists in 64 games. He was named the winner of the Brian Kilrea Award for community involvement and the Booster Club's Best Two-Way Player.

Mancari made his professional hockey debut with the Sabres' AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans in 2005-06. The following season, he made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres, recording an assist in three games with the club.

As an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2011, Mancari inked a deal with the Vancouver Canucks.
