Nathan Robinson was born December 31, 1981 in Kingston, Ontario. A free-agent signing of the Detroit Red Wings in the fall of 2002, Robinson is a graduate of the OHL's Belleville Bulls.
An offensively gifted forward, Robinson played four seasons in Belleville leading the league in scoring in 2001-02 with 110 points (47-63-110) and finishing his four year career with 235 points (109-126-235).
Following a successful junior career, Robinson joined the ECHL's Toledo Storm before being promoted to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins in the early stages of the 2002-03 season. In 2003-04, Robinson spent the majority of the season in Grand Rapids registering 50 points (24-26-50) in 69 games, while making his NHL debut with Detroit midway through the season.
In the summer of 2005, the former Bull was acquired by the Boston Bruins.
