Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Corey Locke
Corey Locke was born on May 8, 1984 in Newmarket, Ontario. Locke was junior hockey standout for the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League, winning the Red Tilson Trophy as the league's most outstanding player two years in a row and leading the entire CHL in scoring for the 2002-03 season with 151 points.

Though undersized by NHL standards (he stands only 5'9") Locke drew the attention of the Montreal Canadiens who selected him 113th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

In the 2007-08 season Locke made his NHL debut, playing one game with the Montreal Canadiens, failing to register a point. He was traded to the Minnesota Wild on July 11, 2008.

On July 3, 2009, as an unrestricted free agent, he signed a deal with the New York Rangers.
