Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Zack Stortini
Zack Stortini was born September 11, 1985 in Elliot Lake, Ontario. Edmonton's 5th choice, 94th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Stortini is a graduate of the OHL's Sudbury Wolves. An established tough guy in his junior career in Sudbery, Stortini proudly captained the club while amassing 120 points over four seasons.

He made his professional debut with the Toronto Roadrunners of the AHL appearing in two games toward the conclusion of his 2003-04 junior season. After spending yet another year in Sudbury, he would split his first full professional season between Iowa and Milwaukee in the AHL. The following year Stortini made his Oiler debut and spent time in both Edmonton and Hamilton. While in Hamilton, he helped the Bulldogs win the AHL Calder Cup Championship scoring three goals in 22 games during the club's incredible playoff run.

On July 1, 2015, Stortini signed a two-year deal with the Ottawa Senators. He was assigned to the Senators' AHL affiliate in Binghamton and was named the club's captain prior to the 2015-16 season.

Stortini's time in the Senators' organization would come to an end on January 24, 2017. He was traded along with Buddy Robinson and a draft pick to the San Jose Sharks and would join the club's AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, for the remainder of the season.
