Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Peter Sejna
Peter Sejna was born October 5, 1979 in Liptovski Mikulas, Slovakia. A free agent signing by the St. Louis Blues, Sejna is a graduate of the USHL's Des Moines Buccaneers before joining the Colorado College Tigers in the fall of 2000.

An offensively gifted forward, Sejna went on to play three seasons at Colorado College registering 190 points (91-99-190) in 126 games, while capturing the 2003 Hobey Baker Award. Upon the completion of his junior year, the St. Louis Blues signed the Hobey Baker winner as a free agent and in his first and only game of the 2002-03 season, Sejna scored his first career NHL goal.

After capturing the Hobey Baker Award, scoring his first NHL goal in his first NHL game, Sejna represented his homeland at the 2003 World Championships later that spring.

Looking to build on the success of his previous year, Sejna spit his first professional season between the Blues and their AHL affiliate in Worcester, where he registered 41 points (12-29-41).
