Graham Mink was born May 12, 1979 in Stowe, Vermont. A free agent signing by the Washington Capitals in the spring of 2002, Mink is a graduate of the University of Vermont.

Over the course of three seasons with the Catamounts, Mink tallied 46 points (28-18-46) before making his professional debut in 2001-02, splitting his time between the ECHL's Richmond Renegades and the AHL's Portland Pirates. In 2002-03, Mink returned to Portland and tallied 37 points (22-15-37) in his first full season with the club before making his NHL debut with Washington in 2003-04.

Mink would see limited action with the Capitals and spend the majority of the next few seasons in the AHL. In the summer of 2006, Mink was signed as a free agent by the San Jose Sharks.
