Aaron Voros was born July 2, 1981 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Voros is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
A physical left winger, Voros spent three years at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, recording 36 goals and 25 assists for 61 points in 89 games played. Following his final season in Alaska, he made the leap to the pro ranks of hockey, appearing in nine games with the Albany River Rats. Over the next two seasons, Voros became a regular in the Albany River Rats line-up. However, thirty-nine games into his 2006-07 season he was traded to Minnesota by New Jersey for Minnesota's 7th round choice. The following season, Voros made his NHL debut with the Minnesota Wild, appearing in 55 games and registering 14 points.
In the summer of 2008, Voros was signed as a free agent by the New York Rangers on July 1, 2008.
After two season with the Rangers where the tough guy posted 211 penalty minutes, Voros was traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Steve Eminger.
After only appearing in 12 games for the Ducks during the 2010-11 season, Voros was on the move again. This time traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a late round draft pick.
