Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jussi Timonen
Jussi Timonen was born June 29, 1983 in Kuopio, Finland. Selected fifth round, 146th overall in the 2001 Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Jussi is the younger brother of Kimmo Timonen.

A smooth skating puck handeler, Timonen honed his skills in his homeland with a nubmer of Finish clubs before he made his way across the pond. After signing a two-year entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, Timonen split his first professional season with the Flyers and their AHL affliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms. Despite having a productive stint with the Flyers organization, the club dealt Timonen to the Dallas Stars for a conditional draft pick in 2009.
