Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Joel Perrault
Joel Perrault was born April 6, 1983 in Montreal, Quebec. The fifth round, 137th overall selection of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Perrault is a graduate of the QMJHL's Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

A skilled forward, Perrault played three seasons in Baie-Comeau with his most productive season coming in 2002-03 when he notched 51 goals and 116 points. A QMJHL First Team All-Star and a CHL First Team All-Star, Perrault went on to play two seasons with the Mighty Ducks AHL affiliate in Cincinnati before splitting the early portion of the 2005-06 season between Portland of the AHL and Augusta of the ECHL.

During the 2005-06 season, Perrault had his rights acquired by the Phoenix Coyotes and spent the remainder of the campaign with the club's AHL affiliate in San Antonio while seeing his first NHL action in the latter stages of the season.

On July 1, 2010, Perrault signed as an unrestricted free agent with the Vancouver Canucks, but he would see action in only seven games for the Canucks. Instead, he spent the majority of the season with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League before being traded at the NHL trade deadline to the Anaheim Ducks.
