Sean McMorrow was born January 19, 1982 in Scarborough, Ontario. The eighth round, 258th overall selection of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, McMorrow is a graduate of the OHL.
A hard-nosed winger, McMorrow played three seasons in the OHL, with stops in Sarnia, Kitchener, Mississauga, Kingston, London and Oshawa before making his professional debut with the Sabres AHL affiliate in Rochester in 2002-03. In 64 games with Rochester, McMorrow registered one point and 315 minutes in penalties, while making his NHL debut with the Sabres in the latter stages of the season.
