Legends of Hockey -- NHL Player Search -- Player -- Jamie Lundmark
Jamie Lundmark was born January 16, 1981 in Edmonton, Alberta. The first round, ninth overall selection of the New York Rangers in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Lundmark is a graduate of the WHL.

An offensively gifted player, Lundmark played three seasons in the WHL with Moose Jaw and Seattle scoring 96 goals and 120 assists for 216 points, along with 203 penalty minutes before joining the Rangers AHL affiliate in Hartford in 2001-02.

Named to the WHL's Eastern Conference Second All-Star Team and WHL All-Rookie Team in 1998-99, Lundmark went on to represent Canada at the Under-18 World Junior Championships in 1998 capturing a Gold medal, while once again representing the Red and White in 2000 and 2001 winning Gold and Bronze medal at the World Junior Championships.

Following a successful career in the WHL, Lundmark suited up for the Hartford Wolf Pack in 2001-02 and tied for first in the AHL among rookies with 32 assists and was second among first-year players with 27 goals and 59 points before making his NHL debut with the Rangers in 2002-03. After a strong rookie season in the AHL, Lundmark spent the majority of the 2002-03 season with the Rangers while seeing limited action in the AHL.

In 2003-04, Lundmark played his first full season in the NHL with the Rangers and over the course of the next season split his time between Hartford and HC Bolzano in Italy.

In the early stages of the 2005-06 season, Lundmark was acquired by the Phoenix Coyotes and went to play a mere 38 games with the club before moving on to the Calgary Flames at the trading deadline.

Lundmark's stint with the Flames lasted 51 games before the club traded him to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Craig Conroy.

On July 16, 2008, Lundmark would return to the Flames organization, signing as an unrestricted free agent.

On February 13, 2010, Lundmark was waived by the Flames and claimed by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
